Adobe requires current version to upgrade to new versions

In 2012, Adobe will implement a massive policy change, and price restructuring but some of those changes are going into effect immediately. This will probably end up being a good deal for major corporations but it looks like it might not be a good thing for sole proprietors and small studios who only use one or two pieces of Adobe’s software. So what are the changes? Effective immediately, if you’re using Photoshop CS4 or earlier (or any other program that falls under the Master Suite), you will not be allowed to upgrade unless you first upgrade to CS5. Is the Mac Pro on the endangered species list?

Could this be it? The end of the Mac Pro? If you don’t follow the Apple rumor mill here’s a quick update. A few of the rumor sites such as 9to5mac.com and macrumors.com have been reporting that the 2010 Mac Pro update may have been the last Mac Pro ever, and that Apple may have been considering End Of Lifing the Mac Pro as early as May of this year.
